Job Description
National Painting Contractor is looking for a seasoned Equipment Mechanic to work in our St. Mary’s, GA location. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on repairing heavy duty construction equipment. I.e. air compressors, aerial lifts, telehandlers, trailer mounted vacuums, industrial dust collectors, and misc. vehicle maintenance repairs & blast equipment.
The mechanics responsibilities include inspecting and diagnosing faults in engines, electrical systems, and components, performing necessary repairs, keeping maintenance records and reports, ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to safety practices, and providing technical support and advice. They will also test and adjust new parts and components, as well as troubleshoot and identify issues to prevent machine breakdowns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
· Inspect all vehicles/equipment pre and post job
· Diagnose problems, assemble, and install new parts, and use tools such as micrometers. calipers, and bore gauges to take precise measurements
· Perform Repairs and Maintenance on all fleet vehicles/equipment
· AC maintenance and repair
· Computer diagnostic specific to manufacturer
· Computer fleet management using in-house software, “ToolWatch”
· Interface with purchasing department for supply purchases
· Samsara Equipment tracking hardware installation
· Welding
· Provide Tech support via text or call to site staff
· Interface with purchasing department for equipment/supply purchases
· Plan repairs accordingly to meet schedules for projects
· Complete service reports and submit to management
· Daily task tracking and reporting using email communication
REQUIREMENTS
· 5 Years Relative Experience to include diesel, gas, hydraulics and electrical
· Valid CDL Driver’s license (preferred)
· Forklift Certification (preferred but not required)
· ToolWatch Software (willing to train ideal candidate)
· Problem Solving
· Ability to travel when needed
· Samsara Equipment Tracking Software (willing to train ideal candidate)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Bending, stooping, and climbing required
Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Willingness to travel:
• 25% (Preferred)
