At Champion Specialty Services, our metalizing (also known as thermal spray) capabilities meet the highest demands of corrosion protection for steel structures in the most challenging environments. Champion’s metalizing capabilities can be applied to any project where long-term durability and corrosion resistance are critical including bridges, industrial facilities, oil and gas storage tanks, and coastal or brackish water environments.

We have completed over 54,000 square feet of metalized surface, and we’re just getting started. While most of our thermal spray work takes place in controlled shop environments due to the size and sensitivity of the equipment, we also have the flexibility and expertise to mobilize for on-site jobs like oil and gas tank work or infrastructure installations with large laydown areas. If a job requires it, we have the capability to set up custom field operations.

AMPP QP6 Certified

Champion holds the AMPP QP6 certification, a highly selective accreditation held by only a handful of companies nationwide. In fact, Champion is one of only 11 organizations, and the only contractor, currently certified by AMPP for thermal spray coatings. This certification not only demonstrates our technical expertise and safety performance, it has also allowed us to compete for and win complex government and infrastructure contracts that require the highest levels of compliance.
